Cameron County Tx. April 7-9 2014

We are still waiting for the big fallout of birds but in the meantime we took a trip to Bentson-Rio Grande SP.  Watching the hawks rise there on their migration was fascinating.  Warblers etc. are dribbling into South Padre.  The following pictures are some of the birds I managed to capture.  The list now stands at 201 for the trip.

Finally got a shot of the elusive Yellow-breasted Chat deep in the darkness of Sheepshead.
This Green Heron landed on the railing at the convention center right beside me.
