Winds from the south have carried the birds away from South Padre Island the last few days. We have travelled out a bit to find what we can. The highlight was the Snowy Plover which is a lifer for us. Species list now at 205 and slowing down rapidly.
This Eastern Meadowlark shot gave me an opportunity to compare with a picture I took a few years ago in Kamloops British Columbia of a Western Meadowlark below. |
